Theme: Written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is the written account of our Father revealing Himself and His Plan for our salvation and sanctification. This Revelation begins in the Old Testament with His chosen people and is completed in the New Testament with Jesus.
Therefore, the New Testament is hidden in the Old Testament and the Old Testament is unveiled in the New Testament.
God, our Creator, loves us deeply and interacts in our lives. The saving actions of God throughout history are most completely revealed in Jesus. God’s loving relationship with the chosen people is recorded in the Old and New Testaments written by persons of faith under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The unfolding of God’s covenant with His people is central to an understanding of Scripture. The Church is responsible for safeguarding and interpreting the truth we find in the Scriptures. All Christians continue the work of building the kingdom of God.
