Hosanna | Hosanna | Hosanna | in the Highest | |
What is doing? He is Crazy, or what | why are you throwing those palm leaves into the street like that? | I'm getting ready for the Triumphal Entry | what's the triumphal Entry? | Well, it all started about five hundred years ago. |
God promised us about five hundred years ago that the Son of God would ride into Jerusalem today | The Son of God is going to ride into Jerusalem TODAY? | So, what is the palm leaves for? | whenever a king comes to town, we cover the street with leaves to make him feel welcome. The Son of God is our king. | that’s a lot of palm leaves. What if he doesn't show up? |
Oh, he'll show up alright. We know that God always keeps his promises. | Yes, but you said he promised it 500 years ago. That's a long time ago. I mean what if he forgot or what if he got caught in traffic or something? | Well, first of all, we know that for thousands of years, God has never failed to keep his promise | Did you cover the street with palm leaves when he was here before? | No, because we didn't know he was the Son of God before. |
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get ready for his Triumphal Entry. | What's that you're singing? | Oh, that's a special song we'll sing to the Lord when he makes his Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. It tells him that we've been expecting him. | Hey, that's a catchy little tune. Can I sing along? | Sure. You can help me with the palm leaves too. |
But I'm not a Christian. | it’s okay, the Son of God is for everybody, not just for the Christian. | Here he comes. | Where? I don't see him? | there. Here he comes |
| Oh, wow! Here he comes! | Right on time. The Son of God really keeps his promises, huh? | | |
