Drop Off and Pick Up of Our Children

Dear Parents and Guardians

I take this opportunity to welcome you to a new year.  As we begin this new year I would like to ask for your cooperation in one matter – the pick up and drop off of our children before and after Sunday School.

There are times when there is an unnecessary back up in the parking lot as many of us do not park our cars when we either bring our young ones to classes as well as when we collect them.  I therefore ask that as of now that there not be a queue of cars before the guardhouse as this causes a backup of the traffic both in the driveway as well as out the gate and along the main road.  We do need to exercise a greater degree of concern for our own management of time as well as that of others.  As neighbours in the Shortwood community we also need to be conscientious in that we cannot afford to cause an unnecessary backup of traffic and allow for the smooth flow of traffic on the road.  As such, I therefore ask that parents please park their cars and have your child or children walk from your car to class and visa versa at the end of classes.  Let us be more courteous to each other and provide for our children a better example of what it means to be a caring community.

I thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Be Blessed.
