Witness to the Truth (2464)

Holy people are called to witness to God who is truth. Therefore, a person cannot misrepresent the truth to others. Offenses against truth (in word or deed) show a lack of commitment to moral uprightness. Lies are fundamental infidelities to God which undermine his Covenant.
